A simple one-hand movement lets the pilot fold the rear cover to switch from aerial work to passenger missions in seconds. It features maximised view for vertical reference, protects additionally the window from loose objects in the cabin, ensures easy boarding for rear passengers, and can be paired with an optional full-cover kit.
Easy to install and stow by the whole crew
The optional full-cover is made from sturdy milled parts and let you fully close the floor window if needed. It's delivered with a protecting stowage bag to be stowed, e.g. in the baggage compartment.
The cover is installed - and secured by a latch - within seconds.

Is the modified cockpit floor edge fully walkable?
Yes. Structural integrity is maintained, and the edge has been tested for 270kg abuse load.
Why modifying existing lower cowling for the cutout instead of providing a new one?
You will not run into compliance issues or other troubles if your existing lower cowling has already other modifications retrofitted like additional landing lights, antennas etc.
Afterwards this variant reduces the size of the shipping kit and with this also shipping costs.
Isn't it the same floor window like from other vendors?
The Swiss Helicopter Floor Window is an unique product and only offered by Swiss Helicopter Engineering and its distributors.
Compared to similar products it offers currently the largest cutout and unique features like the foldable boarding step.
Can I use the AH Canada High Visibility Door with this modification?
Yes. The design is fully compatible with both the TC holder’s original right-hand door and AH Canada’s High Visibility Door.
Is the Cockpit Floor Window applicable with RH sliding door configuration?
Not yet, but it's under investigation in Summer 2026 to serve this option as well.Is the Cockpit Floor Winodw also applicable for older models like B2/B1/B/BA?
We are currently (2026) working on a compatibility extension for older models due to minor differences of the floor depending on series generation.
Nevertheless, don't hesitate to contact us for a quote. In any case, a compatibility check of the configuration is performed in advance for every non-binding quote.
Is the Cockpit Floor Window suitable for existing helicopter floor windows?
Yes. It can be retrofitted to aircraft already equipped with common floor window solutions.
How long does Cockpit Floor Window installation take?
Typically around 4 working days, depending on MRO environment and aircraft configuration.
What documents are provided with the kit?
STC, Installation Manual, Flight Manual Supplement, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and kit supplied with EASA Form1.
What’s the price?
The base kit is 25,000 CHF, with an optional full-cover kit available for 2,000 CHF. Installation costs vary by operator.
